Our English Program is a comprehensive K–8 curriculum designed to build a strong foundation in reading, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, and writing. Aligned with Common Core State Standards, our structured lessons help students develop the language and literacy skills needed for long-term academic success.
Reading is at the heart of our program. Students explore a wide variety of literary genres—including fiction, nonfiction, poetry, drama, speeches, and informational texts—to strengthen comprehension, critical thinking, and an appreciation for different writing styles and perspectives.
Our lessons follow an Introduction → Practice → Mastery approach, ensuring students develop a solid understanding of each concept before moving on. As students progress, they build confidence through increasingly challenging reading passages, vocabulary development, grammar instruction, and comprehension exercises.
Beginning in Grade 3, students also participate in a structured writing program that develops both creativity and communication skills. They learn to organize and express their ideas through a variety of writing genres, including:
- Narrative Writing
- Descriptive Writing
- Informative/Explanatory Writing
- Argumentative (Opinion) Writing
Students learn how to plan, organize, revise, and edit their writing while building strong sentence structure, paragraph development, and effective use of language.
